Which level do you need?

Most students have a target level that they must reach in order to gain direct entry to University (C1 level), Foundation year (B2 level) or a Medical program (C1 level). When you enquire about our German courses in preparation for German University entrance we will evaluate your documents at no charge and inform you which package / path you must take.

The 2 packages here show the complete costs you are looking at (except for food etc..) in your pathway to German University entrance.

C1 package for direct entry to University (also for Masters students)

If we assess that your school qualifications allow you to get direct entry to German University then you will need to learn German to the C1 level.  Here you can find an overview of the costs and what is included in this program.

Registration fee for ISL Sprachschule and University admission

(this includes getting you the University Conditional Admission, sending the documents you need for the visa, pre-departure visa training, booking of insurance and opening of the blocked account)

C1 Language Course

36 weeks of teaching split into 6 levels with:

max. 14 students per class

30 hours (45 minutes each) of classes per week

All teaching material (Books etc..)

TestDaF or TELC C1 exam (both exams are accepted as proof of the C1 level)

Airport pick up on official arrival days

University Consultation Service (we help you to apply to further universities once you are in Germany if you wish)

6 level tests during your language course

Free repetition of failed levels if you attend classes regularly

For every level of German that you learn at home we reduce this price by €1000

Accommodation (twin Room) in ISL apartments for the first 2 months

It is necessary to show the embassy that you have a confirmed place to stay

Prices for Single Room for 2 months (€1200)

Price for Single Apartment for 2 months (€1500)

After the first 2 months students can decide to stay on in ISL accommodation or move

Insurance (health, accident and liability) for 1 year

Blocked Bank account (including opening charge)

Every student needs to prove that they can support themselves financially in Germany, as you are not allowed to work during the language course. Once you are at University the situation changes and you can have a part time job with 20 hours per week.

This is YOUR money in YOUR bank account in Germany and you can withdraw EUR 735 every month to pay for your living expenses.

You must have this account organized before your visa interview to show the embassy.

B2 package and ISL  Foundation year program (Studienkolleg)

If we assess that your secondary school qualifications need to be brought up to the German Abitur level (German secondary school requirement for University entrance). The you will need this package. First you learn to a B2 level, then do a Foundation year program (where you also learn German to C1 level). When you pass the final exam (FSP) of the foundation year then you can enter German University.

Studying at University in your home country for 1-2 years ususally means that you do not need to do the Foundation year. Then you learn German to C1 and enter German University directly.
